Fall Rafting Fundraiser 2012

We've just secured the dates for the 2012 ICO Rafting Fundraiser. On September 8th and 9th, we’ll be hosting our annual Fall Fundraiser Rafting Trip. Come join us and experience the delights of whitewater rafting in a beautiful river canyon, while supporting the Sierra Club's Inner City Outings (ICO) rafting program.

September 8th - 9th, 2012

Several options are available. Put your trip together today!

Saturday 9/8: Class II-III South Fork of the American River $144
Sunday 9/9: Class III-IV Middle Fork of the American River $174
Sat/Sun, 2 days Combo: Middle Fork / South Fork: $265
Private Riverside Camping and Sunset Gourmet Dinner along the South Fork of the American River: $40
**** 20% Discount is available for groups of four or larger!****

Guests on the South Fork trip (9/8) can explore a class III river rich with history and exciting whitewater. Those opting for a Middle Fork trip (9/9) will tackle more challenging class IV rapids, including the infamous 'Tunnel Chute', all while exploring a rugged wilderness canyon etched by early gold mining. Make a weekend of it and raft both days while joining us in a riverside camp! Non-Rafters can enjoy private camping and a gourmet dinner along a pristine river in Gold Rush country. Nearby activities include: cycling, hiking, Gold Rush tourist attractions, and fishing.

Inner City Outings is an all-volunteer outreach program of the Sierra Club that provides wilderness experiences for groups of youths and adults from urban communities that have little or no access to nature due to lack of income, awareness, or skills. All proceeds will directly support ICO outreach activities for at-risk youth and adult recovery groups who have limited access to this wilderness experience. Trips are all inclusive and feature a great riverside lunch and shuttle between the river and our meeting place.
