Giving Tree at REI in Berkeley

Hello & Happy Holidays! We have kicked off our Giving Tree campaign at the Berkeley REI (1338 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley). Look for the Christmas tree inside the store, select an ornament off the tree, and you can purchase that item for ICO. The Giving Tree will stay up through the Holiday Season. ICO Rafting is looking for volunteers - application due March 11!

The San Francisco Bay Rafting chapter of Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO Rafting) is an all-volunteer program of the Sierra Club. We facilitate wilderness opportunities for people, especially youth, who would not otherwise have them.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to share the outdoors with others. No experience is required; we will provide the necessary training through an intensive program in the Spring. There is no fee for training this year.

SF Bay ICO Rafting is awakening from our COVID slumber. Participant trips and new volunteer training trips ARE BACK in 2022! Stay tuned for more information.

ICO Rafting is looking for volunteers!

Inspiring Connections Outdoors is an outreach program of the Sierra Club that provides wilderness experiences to those who would not otherwise have the opportunity, particularly teens. The SF Bay Rafting Chapter of ICO takes participants on whitewater rafting trips throughout California, primarily on the South Fork of the American River.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to share the outdoors with others. No experience is required. We will provide the necessary training through an intensive program in the Spring.

We’re holding two Question & Answer sessions for anyone interested in learning more about Inspiring Connections Outdoors.
